Why "Confidently You?"
You know how we all carry baggage and have certain issues in our lives? One of the biggest "issues" I carried around in my not-Prada-bag, was feeling inferior. I never felt good enough, kept comparing myself to everyone around me, and every time I felt like a failure. I would then try to "fit in" by changing my behaviour or look to what I thought would impress others, but that also didn't work. This was done subtly but I knew I wasn't being authentic.
Just like I went on a journey to discover WHO AM I, what makes ME happy and what style makes me feel CONFIDENT, I want to help other women with this same journey. Because it doesn't matter how much you think everyone around you is perfect, it's not true. We are all suffering from self-confidence issues, pasts that stay with us and alter our journeys, emotional scars, body issues etc. Some women are just willing to work through it and come out stronger, whereas others are ok with feeling inferior and not facing their fears to experience growth.
At Confidently You, I would love to go on that journey with you if you are willing to let go, go on a self-discovery journey and if you are ready to change your appearance. Not because appearances determine if you are beautiful, but because we showcase WHO WE ARE, our personalities, if we are more reserved or outspoken, through the image we show others. When we dress according to our unique Style mix and Colour Flow, we look and feel confident, because we are being ourselves. You are then, "Confidently You," and that is ENOUGH.
O, and today, I still don't carry a Prada bag, but that is ok.
Qualifications
I am a qualified Consumer Scientist, with a BSc degree as well as a B.Hon degree in Fashion Buying, Interior Designing and Consumer behaviour. Further, I did my PGCE Foundation Phase and have a few years experience as a gr.3 teacher. I am a qualified Image Consultant and associated with SA Image Academy. Then lastly and most importantly, I am an "unqualified" mother of two little, gorgeous toddler girls, learning new skills daily on how to help and guide them.
Interests, Dreams and Passions
My all time favourite thing to do, is sit quietly in nature and spending time with my Creator. I love Jesus.
FOODIE! Food is such a fun, delicious and creative thing to experiment with and enjoy in good company.
SHOPPING! I absolutely love being in the shops, being surrounded by so many pretty things and then going through a process of deciding if this item will fit your style, your house, your lifestyle. I honestly have the stamina to spend hours on end shopping. And yes, I LOVE that this is a part of my job!
Strive to live a HEALTHY, BALANCED & JOYFUL life.
In the near future I will definitely add my OWN CLOTHING RANGES to my brand, as this has always been a huge passion and dream of mine.
Empowering WOMEN'S EVENTS make me so happy, and having the privilege to share a message or skill with the ladies...then my cup is overflowing.
CREATING in general is my passion. Being creative with paint, decor, photos, outfits, explaining concepts to others, new ideas etc. HAPPY PLACE.
